Robert Edsel draws on his background as an author, historian, producer, business leader, tennis pro and fundraiser to speak to audiences on a variety of lecture topics. His successful presentations include:

Is Art Worth a Life?: Hitler, War and the Monuments Men

Robert Edsel’s most requested presentation includes an interactive presentation with over 100 slides, anecdotes about the Monuments Men who rescued and returned millions of cultural items stolen by Hitler and the Nazis during WWII, details about filming the documentary “The Rape of Europa” in seven countries and lobbying Congress to pass a resolution recognizing the achievements of the Monuments Men, plus time for audience Q&A. The Monuments Men discussed in Robert's book Rescuing Da Vinci and in the documentary, were responsible for documenting in detailed catalogs all of the artwork that they had rescued and recovered, as well as returning the artwork to the country to which it belonged. Their dedication continues to make restitution possible to this day.
